The International Journal of Studies in Public Leadership (IJSPL) is a double-blind peer reviewed online journal published by the Rashtram School of Public Leadership, Sonipat, Haryana, India. The journal strives for the enrichment of research in leadership studies and allied disciplines by providing a forum for research and exchange of ideas in the field of leadership studies and its pedagogy. The IJSPL is a primary source for disseminating independently refereed research articles related to leadership studies in all its varied aspects – historical, regional and situational; as well as in all spheres of public leadership – including politics, business, activism, civil society, government, academia and the mass communication media.
Aims and Scope of the Journal
The International Journal of Studies in Public Leadership (IJSPL) is multidisciplinary in its range, by virtue of the multidisciplinary character of leadership studies itself. The journal welcomes articles from a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches to research, pedagogy and practices for effective and inspired leadership. It encourages submissions from multiple fields in the humanities and social sciences as well as from broader interdisciplinary areas concerned with governance, civilisational knowledge, wellness, and the arts, which may potentially contribute to leadership skills learning and leadership building in the political, social, and academic spheres through the development of meta-skills.
The journal publishes quality research articles in interdisciplinary areas with the express goal of expanding the horizon of contemporary leadership studies, thereby enabling informed leadership in various fields of human activity. Research creates new knowledge, explores newer spaces for innovation, and provides a vehicle for new ideas to be expressed and disseminated to the wider community – all of which contribute to solving the most pressing problems of our day to day life through inspired leadership in both private and public domains. The multidisciplinary approach helps to ensure inclusivity for practices, knowledge systems and methodologies across cultures and chronology, and it expands the mindspace of the researcher/reader to incorporate and incubate new ideas, thereby increasing creativity as well as productivity. Research articles published in IJSPL are double-blind peer reviewed.
IJSPL adds value to leaders and followers across all domains as well as instructors and researchers in the field of leadership studies. It is a valuable source of information for:

Positioning of the Journal
Currently there is a palpable surge of demand in the field of leadership studies in India and across the world, especially because we are going through a period of extraordinary crisis. We, at the Rashtram School of Public Leadership, expect this trend to continue and grow. However, the country does not have a good academic journal with a focus on leadership studies. The idea is to position this journal as a leading space in leadership studies research, both nationally and internationally, within a period of three to five years. Once the journal is launched, it will be included in the various databases of journals and made available for library subscriptions.
